About the Role:
Does sharing your knowledge of technology with the next generation of IT professionals interest you? Do you enjoy using your technical skills to help solve issues, improve customer experiences and advance the work of an educational institution? As a member of a dedicated, team-oriented staff, the Help Desk Manager shares in the responsibility of providing the St. Olaf Community with technology support services and manages the student-staffed Help Desk.
What You’ll Do:
• Manage a staff of 30+ student employees to make sure the needs of the faculty, staff and students on campus are met.
• Monitor and manage tickets in the ticketing system on a daily basis.
• Engage with Library and Information Technology Services staff to develop campus-wide documentation and communication about technology changes and issues.
• Prepare and present monthly reports of Help Desk activities and services.
Who You Are:
A successful candidate must have…
• Bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years of experience working at a Help Desk, Helpline or similar position
• 1+ year of supervisory or relevant experience
• 1+ years of working in an educational setting or relevant experience
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and meet St. Olaf College driver authorization criteria

You work productively as an individual and collaborate well with a diverse range of people. You have the ability to train and supervise others. You can effectively communicate with others in oral and written form. You have knowledge of MacOS, Windows and the Google suite of applications.
