Communications and Operations Coordinator

About the Role:

Are you interested in using your communications and project management skills and experience to help the Piper Center support all students in pursuing their vocational and career goals? Would you like to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment with team members who are innovative and hard working? In this role you will coordinate marketing and communications projects; manage student staff focused on communications and operations; assist with events and data management and support general operational needs of the Piper Center for Vocation and Career.

What You’ll Do:

● Create project plans and manage the execution of day-to-day marketing and communications activities for the Piper Center, with support from several student workers
● Provide feedback and editing support for creative content produced by student workers
● Facilitate the development of engaging email, website, print and video content
● Supervise a team of student staff responsible for communications support, graphic design, data entry and administrative support
● Manage the Piper Center email inbox and provide general administrative support
● Provide data management assistance
● Coordinate the Piper Center’s management of events
● Oversee the “front of house,” welcoming students, alumni, employers or guests to the Center


Who You Are:

The qualified candidate will have…

Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Experience: 1+ years of marketing and communications, project management and/or office management experience, or relevant experience


It will be helpful if you have…

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Experience: 2+ years of experience with marketing and communications, project management, and office management. 2+ years of experience in higher education, including experience supervising students

Pay rate: $21.00 per hour
