About the Role:
In the Admissions Office, you’ll be working alongside a dedicated team that is responsible for shaping the future of St. Olaf by recruiting talented and diverse students from around the country and the world to enroll at the college. What You’ll Do:
● Campus Visit: Schedule, manage, and successfully implement all campus visits, including virtual visits, and group visits for prospective students. This will include proper communication with guests, the office, and campus partners. Assist with registration, room reservations, creation of special event agendas, and campus collaboration.
● Admissions Events: Support all individual campus visit events through preparation, planning, and execution. Support off-campus visit opportunities and division-related campus programs as needed.
● Communications: Provide effective office communication; this includes daily internal and external recruitment communications via text message, online chat, email, and phone calls. Assist in the development and management of an integrated communication plan which includes written and electronic communications.
● Student Work: Support all individual campus visit events through preparation, planning, and execution. Support off-campus visit opportunities and division-related campus programs as needed. Assist in, training and supervising successful student ambassadors/workers, who will support all campus visit programming including group and individual visits.
Who You Are:
What you need:
● Associate’s Degree
● Maintain a valid driver’s license and meet St. Olaf College driver authorization criteria with a satisfactory driving record
● 2+ years of event planning or related experience
● Office or customer service experience where contact with the public is valued and imperative or a similar type of work in a higher education setting or relevant experience
Preferred qualifications include:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 4+ years of database experience
• Prior experience using admissions computer software
• Experience in college admissions
• Experience supervising students
• Event planning or related experience

● Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
● Strong analytical skills and ability to make independent decisions
● Computer skills; intermediate word processing, spreadsheet, and Google Workspace
● Ability to work independently and operate effectively within a team environment
● The ability to interact positively and professionally with students, families, and guests from a diversity of backgrounds
● The ability to plan, organize, and implement multiple projects, seeing them through to successful completion
● Strong intercultural competency and a commitment to building a strong and inclusive community
